Turbine–Generator Coupling Hub
Forged Alloy Steel Hub for Turbine–Generator Connections
The Turbine–Generator Coupling Hub is a high-strength forged component designed for reliable torque transmission and precise alignment between turbine shafts and generator rotors. Manufactured from premium alloy steel, it delivers excellent structural integrity, dimensional stability, and long-term reliability under demanding operating conditions.
This hub is suitable for medium- to large-scale power generation equipment and other heavy-duty rotating machinery where strength, consistency, and operational safety are critical.
- Incoming Raw Material Inspection Alloy steel is inspected for chemical composition, mechanical properties, and surface integrity to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Cutting and Heating Raw materials are cut to specified sizes and uniformly heated to prepare for Forging, ensuring consistent internal structure.
- Open-Die Forging The hub blank is formed through controlled forging processes, achieving optimized grain flow and high structural strength suitable for torque transmission applications.
- Heat Treatment Quenching & tempering or customized heat treatment is applied to achieve the required strength, toughness, and internal uniformity.
- Physicochemical Inspection Hardness testing, metallographic analysis, and spectrochemical testing are performed to verify material performance after heat treatment.
- Rough Machining and Semi-Finishing Machining operations establish reference surfaces, bore dimensions, and flange faces, ensuring dimensional accuracy for subsequent assembly.
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Dimensional Inspection Internal integrity is verified using ultrasonic testing, and all critical dimensions are re-measured.
- Final Machining and Hole Processing Final operations complete inner bores, keyways (where required), flange faces, and bolt holes according to drawing specifications.
- Final Inspection and Identification Each hub undergoes final inspection and is permanently marked for full traceability.
- Cleaning, Packaging, and Storage Corrosion protection, secure packaging, and proper storage ensure safe transportation and delivery.
